Privacy notice.
This notice explains what happens to personal information when you contact AskHume or prepare a website order request.
Who is responsible
AskHume is operated by Duneiden Limited, company number SC872244, with registered office at 5 South Charlotte Street, Edinburgh, EH2 4AN. For privacy questions, email info@askhume.com or call 0131 581 8484.
Information we receive
This may include your name, business name, email address, telephone number, business type, industry, domain information, website requirements, selected pricing route and any notes you choose to provide. We also receive information you send during later scoping, build, support and account conversations.
Do not send passwords, recovery codes, payment-card details or other secret credentials through the website, email or WhatsApp.
How the order-request page works
The current order-request page builds the summary in your browser. It does not post that form to an AskHume database. If you choose email or WhatsApp, the page opens the relevant application with the summary prepared. Nothing is sent until you send it. The chosen email or messaging provider then processes the message under its own privacy terms.
If checked Stripe Payment Links are enabled later, Stripe will process payment and checkout information. AskHume does not need your complete card number.
Why we use information
- To answer an enquiry and check whether a service fits.
- To prepare a written scope, price and order schedule.
- To design, build, host, support and hand over agreed services.
- To manage invoices, payments, records and legal obligations.
- To protect accounts, prevent misuse and resolve faults or disputes.
The legal basis will normally be steps requested before a contract, performance of a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, or a legitimate business interest such as answering customers and protecting services. Where consent is required, it will be requested separately.
Who may receive information
Information may be handled by service providers needed to run the business and fulfil the agreed work. This can include email and website hosting providers, domain registrars, mailbox providers, Stripe, WhatsApp or Meta when you choose that route, professional advisers and public authorities where legally required. Only information needed for the relevant task should be shared.
International processing
Some providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens, the provider and the selected service terms determine the relevant safeguards. You can ask which providers apply to your order before work begins.
Retention
Information is kept only for as long as needed for the enquiry, service, support, dispute handling and legal or accounting records. Unsuccessful enquiry information should not be kept indefinitely. You may ask about the period applying to your record.
Cookies, fonts and technical data
This release does not include advertising cookies or analytics tracking. The pages request fonts from Google Fonts, so the browser may send technical information such as an IP address to Google when loading them. External services opened from the site have their own cookie and privacy practices.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict personal information, object to certain use, or receive information in a portable form. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office. Contact AskHume first if you would like the issue checked directly.
